Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
अक्षयं च कुल ते<स्तु महर्षिभिरलंकृतम् । भविष्यति द्विजश्रेष्ठ: सूत्रकर्ता सुतस्तव,“तुम्हारा कुल अक्षय एवं महर्षियोंसे अलंकृत होगा। तुम्हारा पुत्र एक श्रेष्ठ ब्राह्मण एवं सूत्रकार होगा'
akṣayaṃ ca kula te ’stu maharṣibhir alaṅkṛtam | bhaviṣyati dvijaśreṣṭhaḥ sūtrakartā sutas tava ||
“ขอให้ตระกูลของเจ้ามั่นคงไม่สิ้นสูญ และรุ่งเรืองด้วยมหาฤๅษีทั้งหลาย บุตรของเจ้าจักเป็นพราหมณ์ผู้เลิศ และเป็นผู้รจนาสูตร—ผู้เรียบเรียงถ้อยคำคัมภีร์อันเป็นหลัก”
