Umā–Maheśvara-saṃvāda: Varṇa-bhraṃśa, Ācāra (Vṛtta), and Karmic Ascent/Decline

bhūyaś ca yā viṣṇu-pade sthitā yā vibhāvasoḥ api pathe sthitā yā | devāś ca sarve saha nāradena prakurvate sarva-saheti nāma ||

Educational Q&A

Endurance in service of sustaining life is honored as a divine virtue: beings that ‘bear all’ and support others are worthy of reverence, and their beneficent role is framed as aligned with cosmic order (dharma).

Viśvāmitra describes how cows associated with exalted cosmic stations—Viṣṇu’s realm and the Sun’s course—were collectively given the epithet ‘Sarvasahā’ by the gods along with Nārada, marking them as supremely enduring and supportive.
