Educational Q&A

Regular morning sandhyā worship, performed with proper orientation toward the Sun, is presented as a powerful and accessible dharmic practice that grants the same purificatory merit as bathing at all tīrthas and removes sinful taints.

In Bhīṣma’s instruction on dharma, he praises a specific daily observance—performing the morning sandhyā (aindrī) and standing facing Āditya—by declaring its extraordinary spiritual fruit: universal tīrtha-bathing merit and release from all kilbiṣa.
