अग्निकार्येषु वै तेषां हव्यं नाश्नाति पावक: । जो प्रज्वलित यज्ञाग्निमें समिधाकी आहुति नहीं देते
agnikāryeṣu vai teṣāṃ havyaṃ nāśnāti pāvakaḥ |
ศักระกล่าวว่า “ผู้ใดละเลยกิจอันเกี่ยวกับไฟศักดิ์สิทธิ์ ปาวกะ (อัคนี) ย่อมไม่รับเครื่องบูชา ของผู้ที่ไม่ถวายฟืนศักดิ์สิทธิ์ (สมิธา) ลงในไฟยัญที่กำลังลุกอยู่ ในพิธีอัคนิโหตระของเขา อัคนีเทพย่อมไม่รับหวิษยะ; เพราะฉะนั้นควรจุดไฟให้ถูกต้องตามพิธีก่อน แล้วจึงถวายอาหุติ”
