Yudhiṣṭhira uvāca—janma mānuṣyakaṁ prāpya karmakṣetraṁ sudurlabham | śreyorthinā daridreṇa kiṁ kartavyaṁ pitāmaha ||
ยุธิษฐิระกล่าวว่า “ปิตามหะเอ๋ย ครั้นได้กำเนิดเป็นมนุษย์—อันเป็นสนามแห่งกรรมที่หาได้ยากยิ่ง—คนยากไร้ผู้ปรารถนาความเกษมสูงสุดพึงกระทำสิ่งใด?”
