अफ-#-र- जा द्वाविशर्त्याधेकशततमो< ध्याय: व्यास-मैत्रेय-संवाद--तपकी प्रशंसा तथा गृहस्थके उत्तम कर्तव्यका निर्देश भीष्म उवाच एवमुक्त: स भगवान्‌ मैत्रेयं प्रत्यभाषत । दिष्ट्यैवं त्वं विजानासि दिष्ट्या ते बुद्धिरीदृशी

bhīṣma uvāca | evam uktaḥ sa bhagavān maitreyaṃ pratyabhāṣata | diṣṭyā evaṃ tvaṃ vijānāsi diṣṭyā te buddhir īdṛśī |

ภีษมะกล่าวว่า ครั้นไมเตรยะกล่าวดังนั้นแล้ว ฤๅษีผู้ควรเคารพคือวยาสะจึงตอบเขาว่า “โอ้พราหมณ์ ท่านช่างเป็นผู้มีบุญยิ่งนักที่เข้าใจเรื่องทั้งหลายได้เช่นนี้ ด้วยวาสนาอันดีท่านจึงได้ปัญญาอันสุขุมเช่นนี้”
