अन्नदानफलं (Anna-dāna-phala) / The Fruit of Food-Giving

भीष्म उवाच शृणु राजन् यथा गीतं स्वयमेव स्वयम्भुवा । यत् कृत्वा निर्वतों भूयात् पुरुषो नाज संशय:,भीष्मजीने कहा--राजन्! स्वयम्भू भगवान् विष्णुने इस विषयमें जैसा कहा है, उसे बताता हूँ, सुनो। उसका अनुष्ठान करके पुरुष परम सुखी हो जाता है, इसमें संशय नहीं है
Translation
ภีษมะกล่าวว่า “ข้าแต่พระราชา จงฟังเถิด ข้าพเจ้าจะกล่าวตามที่พระผู้เป็นเอง (สวะยัมภู) ได้ตรัสไว้ เมื่อปฏิบัติตามนั้นแล้ว บุรุษย่อมถึงความสุขอันยิ่ง—หาได้มีข้อสงสัยไม่”
