Inquiry into the Discipline of Fasting
न गुरावकृतप्रज्ञे शक््यं शिष्येण वर्तितुम् । गुरोहिं दीर्घदर्शित्वं यत् तच्छिष्यस्य भारत
bhīṣma uvāca | na gurāv akṛtaprajñe śakyaṃ śiṣyeṇa vartitum | guroḥ hi dīrghadarśitvaṃ yat tac chiṣyasya bhārata |
ภีษมะกล่าวว่า “ศิษย์ย่อมไม่อาจอยู่ใต้ระเบียบของครูผู้มีปัญญายังไม่สุกงอมได้โดยชอบ โอ้ภารตะ เพราะความไกลเห็นอันใดมีอยู่ในครู คุณนั้นย่อมสะท้อนในศิษย์ด้วย; เมื่อผู้ใหญ่เป็นผู้มองการณ์ไกลอย่างแท้จริง ผู้น้อยก็ย่อมมองการณ์ไกลตามไป”
