पतितो5पि महाराज भूतले स्मृतिमानभूत्‌ । प्रसादयामास भृगुं शापान्तो मे भवेदिति

patito 'pi mahārāja bhūtale smṛtimān abhūt | prasādayāmāsa bhṛguṁ śāpānto me bhaved iti ||

ภีษมะกล่าวว่า “ข้าแต่มหาราช แม้ตกลงสู่พื้นดินแล้ว เขาก็มิได้สูญสิ้นสติสัมปชัญญะ เขาพยายามทำให้ภฤคุพอพระทัย โดยคิดว่า ‘ขอให้คำสาปของเราสิ้นสุดลงเถิด’”
