जनेश्वर! इस गृहस्थ-धर्मका पालन करते रहनेपर तुम इहलोकमें सुयश और परलोकमें स्वर्ग प्राप्त कर लोगे ।। इति श्रीमहाभारते अनुशासनपर्वणि दानधर्मपर्वणि बलिदानविधिनाम सप्तनवतितमो<ध्याय:
janeśvara! asya gṛhastha-dharmasya pālanaṃ satataṃ kurvan tvaṃ iha-loke suyaśaḥ prāpsyasi, para-loke ca svargaṃ prāpsyasi.
ภีษมะกล่าวว่า “โอ้เจ้าแห่งมนุษย์ หากเจ้าดำรงธรรมของคฤหัสถ์นี้ไว้โดยสม่ำเสมอ เจ้าจะได้เกียรติยศอันงามในโลกนี้ และในโลกหน้าเจ้าจะบรรลุสวรรค์”
