आपो देवगणा: सर्वे आप: पितृगणास्तथा । दर्शश्व॒ पौर्णमासश्न देवानां पितृभि: सह,“जल ही देवता हैं तथा जल ही पितृगण हैं। दर्श और पौर्णमास याग पितरों तथा देवताओंके लिये किये जाते हैं

Transliteration

āpo devagaṇāḥ sarve āpaḥ pitṛgaṇās tathā | darśaś ca paurṇamāsaś ca devānāṃ pitṛbhiḥ saha ||

Translation

น้ำนั่นเองคือหมู่เทพทั้งปวง และน้ำนั่นเองคือหมู่ปิตฤด้วย พิธีทัรศะและปูรณมาสะกระทำเพื่อเทพทั้งหลายร่วมกับปิตฤทั้งหลาย
