लक्षणं चैतदेवेह भविता ते नराधिप । इन्द्रमालेति विख्यातं धन्यमप्रतिमं महत्,नरेश्वर! यह माला ही इन्द्रमालाके नामसे विख्यात होकर इस जगत्में तुम्हारी पहचान करानेके लिये परम धन्य एवं अनुपम चिह्न होगी
vaiśampāyana uvāca |
lakṣaṇaṃ caitad eveha bhavitā te narādhipa |
indramāleti vikhyātaṃ dhanyam apratimaṃ mahat ||
ข้าแต่นราธิป! พวงมาลัยนี้เองจักเป็นเครื่องหมายจำแนกของท่านในโลกนี้ เป็นที่เลื่องลือในนามว่า ‘อินทรมาลา’ พวงมาลัยอันยิ่งใหญ่ เปรียบมิได้ และเป็นมงคลยิ่ง จักเป็นสัญลักษณ์ให้ผู้คนรู้จักท่านทั่วหล้า
