त॑ प्रविश्याश्रमं दृष्टवा भुगोर्भार्यामनिन्दिताम् हृच्छयेन समाविष्टो विचेता: समपद्यत,आश्रममें प्रवेश करते ही उसकी दृष्टि महर्षि भूगुकी पतितव्रता पत्नीपर पड़ी और वह कामदेवके वशीभूत हो अपनी सुध-बुध खो बैठा
taṁ praviśyāśramaṁ dṛṣṭvā bhṛgor bhāryām aninditām | hṛcchayena samāviṣṭo vicetāḥ samapadyata ||
ครั้นเมื่อมันเข้าไปในอาศรมและเห็นภรรยาผู้ไร้มลทินของภฤคุ ความใคร่ที่ครอบงำหัวใจก็เข้าครอบคลุม จนมันเสียสติและขาดความรู้ตัว
