Jarītā–Śārṅgā-saṃvāda: Ākhu-haraṇa and the Approach of Agni (आखुहरणं अग्न्यागमनश्च)

यज्वा दानपतिर्धीमान्‌ यथा नान्यो<स्ति कश्नन । ईजे च स महायजै: क्रतुभिश्चाप्तदक्षिणै:,उस समय उनके-जैसा यज्ञ करनेवाला, दाता और बुद्धिमान्‌ दूसरा कोई नहीं था। उन्होंने पर्याप्त दक्षिणावाले अनेक बड़े-बड़े यज्ञोंका अनुष्ठान किया था

Vaiśampāyana uvāca: yajvā dānapatir dhīmān yathā nānyo 'sti kaścana | īje ca sa mahāyajñaiḥ kratubhiś cāptadakṣiṇaiḥ ||

ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า “พระองค์ทรงเป็นผู้ประกอบยัญ ผู้เป็นใหญ่ในทาน และทรงเปี่ยมด้วยปัญญา—ไม่มีผู้ใดเสมอเหมือน. พระองค์ทรงประกอบมหายัญและครตุเป็นอันมาก โดยถวายทักษิณาอย่างสมควรและบริบูรณ์.”
