As a chapter-ending colophon, the verse does not teach through direct instruction; it frames the preceding narrative as an account about establishing a purohita, implicitly highlighting that righteous governance relies on learned counsel, ritual responsibility, and ethical guidance aligned with dharma.
This line is a formal closing statement: it announces that the 173rd chapter in the Ādi Parva’s Caitraratha section—focused on the narration concerning the appointment/establishment of a purohita—has concluded.
