मन्दर-समुद्रमन्थन-वर्णनम् / Description of the Churning of the Ocean with Mount Mandara

ते भायें कश्यपस्यास्तां कद्रश्न विनता च ह । प्रादात्‌ ताभ्यां वरं प्रीत: प्रजापतिसम: पति:

te bhārye kaśyapasyāstāṁ kadrūś ca vinatā ca ha | prādāt tābhyāṁ varaṁ prītaḥ prajāpati-samaḥ patiḥ ||

เศานกะกล่าวว่า “สตรีทั้งสองนั้นเป็นชายาของกัศยปะ คือ กัทรู และ วินตา ครั้นกัศยปะผู้เป็นสวามี—ผู้มีศักดิ์ศรีเสมอประชาบดี—พอพระทัยในนางทั้งสองแล้ว จึงประทานพรแก่ทั้งคู่ เหตุการณ์นี้ชี้ให้เห็นน้ำหนักทางธรรมของพร: ของกำนัลที่ให้ด้วยความพอใจย่อมกำหนดชะตา และสิ่งที่ผู้รับเลือกขอก็มีนัยทางศีลธรรม”
