Drupada’s Putrakāmeṣṭi: The Sacrificial Birth of Dhṛṣṭadyumna and Kṛṣṇā

त्वं कुरूणां कुले जात: साक्षाद्‌ भीमसमो हासि । ज्येष्ठ: पुत्रोडसि पञ्चानां साहाय्यं कुरु पुत्रक,“बेटा! तुम्हारा जन्म कुरुकुलमें हुआ है। तुम मेरे लिये साक्षात्‌ भीमसेनके समान हो। पाँचों पाण्डवोंके ज्येष्ठ पुत्र हो, अत: हमारी सहायता करो”

vaiśampāyana uvāca | tvaṃ kurūṇāṃ kule jātaḥ sākṣād bhīmasamo hāsi | jyeṣṭhaḥ putro 'si pañcānāṃ sāhāyyaṃ kuru putraka ||

ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า “เจ้ากำเนิดในวงศ์กุรุ; ด้วยกำลังแล้ว เจ้าประหนึ่งภีมะเอง. ในบุตรทั้งห้านั้น เจ้าคือผู้เป็นบุตรคนโต; เพราะฉะนั้น ลูกเอ๋ย จงยื่นมือช่วยเหลือเราเถิด.”
