Kuntī–Brāhmaṇa Saṃvāda on Atithi-dharma and Crisis Strategy (Ādi Parva 149)

सुरंगद्वारा मातासहित पाण्डवोंका लाक्षागृहसे निकलना भीम अपने चारों भाइयोंको तथा माताको उठाकर ले चले स गत्वा तु यथोद्देशं पाण्डवान्‌ ददृशे वने । जनन्या सह कौरव्य मापयानान्‌ नदीजलम्‌,कुरुनन्दन! उसने विदुरजीके बताये अनुसार ठीक स्थानपर पहुँचकर वनमें मातासहित पाण्डवोंको देखा, जो नदीमें कितना जल है, इसका अनुमान लगा रहे थे

sa gatvā tu yathoddeśaṃ pāṇḍavān dadṛśe vane | jananyā saha kauravya māpayānān nadī-jalam ||

โอเชื้อสายกุรุ! ครั้นเขาไปถึงยังสถานที่ที่กำหนด ก็ได้เห็นเหล่าปาณฑพพร้อมมารดาอยู่ในป่า กำลังวัดและกะประมาณปริมาณน้ำในแม่น้ำ
