तस्य तत्‌ कौशल श्रुत्वा धनुर्वेदजिघृक्षव: । राजानो राजपुत्राश्न समाजग्मु: सहस्रश:,द्रोणाचार्यका वह अस्त्रकौशल सुनकर सहस्रों राजा और राजकुमार धरनुर्वेदकी शिक्षा लेनेके लिये वहाँ एकत्रित हो गये

tasya tat kauśalaṃ śrutvā dhanurvedajighṛkṣavaḥ | rājāno rājaputrāś ca samājagmuḥ sahasraśaḥ ||

ไวศัมปายนะกล่าวว่า “ครั้นได้ยินกิตติศัพท์แห่งความชำนาญในศัสตราวุธของเขา เหล่ากษัตริย์และราชกุมารผู้ใคร่จะเรียน ‘ธนุรเวท’ ก็พากันมาชุมนุม ณ ที่นั้นนับเป็นพัน ๆ”
