Vāraṇāvata-prasaṃsā and the Pāṇḍavas’ Departure (वरणावत-प्रशंसा तथा पाण्डव-प्रयाणम्)
न सख्यमजरं लोके हृदि तिष्ठति कस्यचित् । कालो होन॑ विहरति क्रोधो वैनं हरत्युत
na sakhyam ajaraṁ loke hṛdi tiṣṭhati kasyacit | kālo hi enaṁ viharati krodho vā enaṁ haraty uta ||
ในโลกนี้ ไม่มีผู้ใดเก็บรักษามิตรภาพไว้ในใจให้เป็นสิ่งไม่รู้แก่และคงอยู่ชั่วกาลได้ กาลเวลาย่อมพรากมิตรจากมิตร และความโกรธก็อาจฉุดคนให้หลุดออกจากไมตรีได้เช่นกัน
