Pāṇḍu’s Funeral Rites and Public Mourning
ते हि सर्वे महात्मानो देवराजपराक्रमा: । त्वयैवांशावतरणे देवभागा: प्रकीर्तिता:,वे सब महात्मा पाण्डव देवराज इन्द्रके समान पराक्रमी थे। आपने ही अंशावतरणके प्रसंगमें उन्हें देवताओंका अंश बताया था
te hi sarve mahātmāno devarāja-parākramāḥ | tvayaivāṃśāvataraṇe deva-bhāgāḥ prakīrtitāḥ ||
พระเจ้าชนเมชัยตรัสว่า “บุรุษผู้ยิ่งใหญ่เหล่านั้นล้วนมีเดชานุภาพดุจท้าวสักกะผู้เป็นจอมเทพ และเมื่อท่านกล่าวถึงการอวตารแห่งส่วนแห่งทวยเทพ ท่านเองก็ได้ประกาศว่าเขาเหล่านั้นเป็นส่วนแห่งเทพทั้งหลาย”
