As a colophon, the verse primarily teaches textual orientation: it frames Kuntī’s marriage as part of the Mahābhārata’s broader concern with origins and the formation of relationships that later become arenas for dharma—duty, legitimacy, and the ethical consequences of dynastic choices.
The chapter ends. The colophon identifies the work (Mahābhārata), the book (Ādi Parva), the sub-section (Sambhava Parva), and the episode/theme (Kuntī’s marriage), and states that this is the 111th chapter.
