को हि सम्बन्धकं शलाध्यमीप्सितं यौनमीदृशम्‌ । अतिक्रामन्न तप्येत साक्षादपि शतक्रतु:,ऐसे मनो$नुकूल और स्पृहणीय उत्तम विवाह-सम्बन्धको ठुकराकर कौन ऐसा मनुष्य होगा जिसके मनमें संताप न हो? भले ही वह साक्षात्‌ इन्द्र ही क्यों न हो

ko hi sambandhakaṃ ślāghyam īpsitaṃ yaunam īdṛśam | atikrāmann na tapyeta sākṣād api śatakratuḥ ||

ผู้ใดเล่าจะปฏิเสธสัมพันธไมตรีแห่งการอภิเษกที่น่าชมเชย เป็นที่ใฝ่ปรารถนา และถูกใจยิ่งนัก แล้วไม่เร่าร้อนด้วยความเสียดาย? แม้จะเป็นศตกรตุ—อินทราเองโดยแท้—ก็ยังต้องไหม้ด้วยความอาวรณ์
