Adhyaya 71: पुरत्रयवृत्तान्तः—ब्रह्मवरदानम्, मयकृतत्रिपुर-निर्माणम्, विष्णुमाया-धर्मविघ्नः, शिवस्तुति, त्रिपुरदाहोपक्रमः

वयं पुराणि त्रीण्येव समास्थाय महीमिमाम् विचरिष्याम लोकेश त्वत्प्रसादाज्जगद्गुरो

vayaṃ purāṇi trīṇyeva samāsthāya mahīmimām vicariṣyāma lokeśa tvatprasādājjagadguro

ข้าแต่พระผู้เป็นเจ้าแห่งโลกทั้งหลาย ข้าแต่ครูแห่งจักรวาล ด้วยพระกรุณาของพระองค์ พวกเราจะยึดเพียงปุราณะทั้งสามนี้เป็นหลัก แล้วเที่ยวจาริกไปบนแผ่นดินนี้
