The sages (Munis)
Concept: Viṣṇu-mayatā: seeing all as pervaded by Viṣṇu, realized inwardly (ātmani eva), and taught compassionately by sages.
Vedantic Theme: Non-dual pervasion (sarvaṃ khalvidaṃ) expressed theistically as Viṣṇu as inner Self (antaryāmin); bhakti supporting jñāna-vision.
Application: Practice remembrance and contemplative seeing: interpret experiences as occurring within the divine presence; cultivate reverence toward all beings as Viṣṇu-pervaded.
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: shanta
Related Themes: Garuda Purana 2.6.90-92 (principle sustaining happiness here/after; karma bonds; guna-based rebirth)
This verse highlights a transformative spiritual vision: realizing all existence as permeated by Viṣṇu, which becomes the basis for right understanding and dharmic living.
It points to inner realization (seeing the divine within the Self) as the guiding knowledge that supports the soul’s progress, implying that true welfare comes from spiritual instruction and correct vision.
Practice reverence and restraint by viewing beings and events as under the presence of the divine—this supports ethical conduct, compassion, and steadiness in daily life.
