FAQs

This verse states that attentive listening to the Purana’s teaching itself is a liberating practice, capable of leading to moksha and cleansing even major sins.

It emphasizes a key method for spiritual uplift: receiving the teaching with concentration. The promised result—freedom from great sin and liberation—frames knowledge heard in the right spirit as a direct aid to the soul’s release.

Regularly listen to or study sacred teachings with focused attention, treating śravaṇa as a discipline that supports ethical living, repentance, and spiritual clarity.
