Vedantic Theme: Saguna-brahman’s accessible manifestation (arcā/kshetra) enabling devotion and remembrance.
Application: Cultivate tīrtha-bhakti: visit, remember, and worship the Lord at the kṣetra with the conviction of its Vaikuṇṭha connection.
Primary Rasa: adbhuta
Secondary Rasa: shanta
Type: sacred mountain (adri/śaila)
Related Themes: Garuda Purana 3.26.32-35 (Vyaṅkaṭādri-mahātmyā; fruits of devotion)
This verse explains that Vaikuṇṭhādri is a sacred mountain identified by its origin from Vaikuṇṭha and by its golden nature, marking it as a distinctive feature of Viṣṇu’s divine realm.
Indirectly, it situates the listener in the Purana’s cosmic map: Vaikuṇṭha is portrayed as a real, describable divine domain, reinforcing the idea of a higher destination beyond Yama’s realm for devotees aligned with Viṣṇu.
Use the verse as a contemplative reminder that spiritual goals are defined by qualities (purity like gold) and source (orientation to Vaikuṇṭha/Viṣṇu), encouraging purity of conduct and steady devotion.
