FAQs

This verse frames marriage/householder life as a dharmic step taken after fulfilling prescribed obligations, and specifically as aligned with the injunctions of the Pitṛs (ancestral tradition).

It links siddhi (accomplishment) to first completing one’s rightful duties (kṛtādhikāra), indicating that orderly adherence to dharma is presented as the basis for success in life’s aims.

Complete essential responsibilities and rites with integrity, and make major life commitments (like marriage) in a way that respects ethical duty, family lineage values, and long-term responsibility.
