Lord Vishnu

Concept: Pañcāgni-vidyā style internalization: sacred fires and truth-junctions are contemplated within the body; knowledge itself becomes consecration.

Vedantic Theme: Satya as the crown-principle; inner consecration through knowledge (jñāna-dīkṣā) aligning ritual symbolism with self-understanding.

Application: Use contemplative visualization during daily rites: speech as offering (mouth-fire), truthfulness as ‘crown’ discipline, and awareness of life-processes as yajña.

Primary Rasa: adbhuta

Secondary Rasa: vira

Type: body-altar (adhyātma-vedi)

FAQs

This verse defines a dharmic qualification: one who truly understands the doctrine of the five sacred fires—linking inner loci (like the mouth) with ritual fire—earns the status of āhitāgni, i.e., a consecrated upholder of Vedic fire-dharma.

Indirectly, it ties spiritual progress to satya (truth) and disciplined ritual knowledge: inner purity and correct sacrificial understanding are presented as marks of a properly consecrated life, which the Garuda Purana repeatedly treats as supportive for auspicious post-death outcomes.

Practice satya (truthfulness) and treat daily worship/offerings as sacred discipline; even without formal śrauta fires, the verse encourages integrating inner purity with outer ritual responsibility.
