Lord Vishnu (in instruction to Garuda)

Concept: Graha-sthiti as a karmic indicator: placements correlate with bhoga (experienced results) such as wealth, strength, and fulfilled desires.

Vedantic Theme: Prārabdha-karma and the unfolding of results within māyā; recognition of cosmic causality without denying higher liberation.

Application: Use as a rule in natal/omenic interpretation: assess Surya and Shani in Vrishabha for likely artha (wealth) and bala/śrī (strength/prosperity) outcomes; cultivate dana/discipline to harmonize results.

Primary Rasa: adbhuta

Secondary Rasa: shanta

Type: zodiacal sign (rashi) / astrological locus

FAQs

This verse shows that the text also preserves Jyotisha-style phala (results), linking specific graha placements—like the Sun or Saturn in Taurus—to predicted outcomes such as wealth, strength, and prosperity.

Rather than describing the after-death journey, this verse focuses on worldly karmic-fruit indicators through astrology, implying that one’s life conditions (prosperity, power, fulfillment) unfold through time under graha influences.

Use it as a reflective guide: cultivate dharmic effort and discipline when seeking wealth or fulfillment, and consult qualified Jyotisha tradition carefully instead of treating single verses as deterministic predictions.
