การสวมเครื่องคุ้มครอง เช่น สังข์ เมล็ดบัว รุทรाक्षะ วะจา เหล็ก เป็นต้น เป็นการป้องกันภัย แล้วนอบน้อมต่อไวณะเตยะ (ครุฑ) ด้วยมนต์ “โอม กัง ฏัง ยัง กัง ไวณะเตยายะ นะมะห์” ด้วยมนต์ “โอม โหง หาง หะห์” ย่อมเกิดความสงบแก่เด็ก โดยพิธีมารชนะและการถวายบะลี อีกทั้งสวดว่า “โอม หรีง—ขอรับบะลีนี้เพื่อบาลครหะ จงปล่อยเด็กเสีย—สวาหา”
