tasyopari vimānena gandharva-patir ekadā yayau citrarathaḥ strībhir vṛto yatra dvija-kṣayaḥ
Citraratha is described as the lord of the Gandharvas, traveling in a vimāna (aerial chariot), often accompanied by celestial women.
It foreshadows that at a particular place an event leading to a brāhmaṇa’s degradation or ruin is about to unfold, showing how circumstances can precipitate moral decline.
A devotee can learn to be alert to situations that trigger temptation or negligence of dharma, and to seek protection through remembrance of Nārāyaṇa and disciplined conduct.
