เมื่อได้ยินถ้อยคำแห่งภักติจากปากของบุตรปรหลาท หิรัณยกศิปุก็โกรธจัด ริมฝีปากสั่นด้วยความเดือดดาล แล้วกล่าวกับษัณฑะ บุตรของครูศุกราจารย์ ดังนี้
