ko ’pi dhārayitā vegaṁ patantyā me mahī-tale anyathā bhū-talaṁ bhittvā nṛpa yāsye rasātalam

พระแม่คงคาตรัสว่า: เมื่อข้าพเจ้าตกจากฟ้าสู่พื้นพิภพ กระแสน้ำจะรุนแรงยิ่งนัก ใครเล่าจะรองรับแรงนั้น? หากไม่มีผู้รองรับ ข้าพเจ้าจะเจาะพื้นโลกแล้วลงสู่รสาตละ
