यदि वीरो महाराज तेनैव त्वां यजे इति । तथेति वरुणेनास्य पुत्रो जातस्तु रोहित: ॥ ९ ॥
yadi vīro mahārāja tenaiva tvāṁ yaje iti tatheti varuṇenāsya putro jātas tu rohitaḥ
ข้าแต่มหาราช หริศจันทราทูลวรุณะว่า “หากข้าพระองค์ได้บุตรผู้กล้า ข้าพระองค์จะบูชายัญเพื่อความพอพระทัยของพระองค์ด้วยบุตรนั้นเอง” วรุณะตรัสว่า “เป็นเช่นนั้นเถิด” ด้วยพรของวรุณะ จึงมีโอรสชื่อโรหิตะ
