कालषेयं पुरोधाय तुरं तुरगमेधषाट् । समन्तात् पृथिवीं सर्वां जित्वा यक्ष्यति चाध्वरै: ॥ ३७ ॥
kālaṣeyaṁ purodhāya turaṁ turaga-medhaṣāṭ samantāt pṛthivīṁ sarvāṁ jitvā yakṣyati cādhvaraiḥ
เมื่อทรงแต่งตั้งทูระ บุตรแห่งกาลษะ เป็นปุโรหิตแล้ว พระชนเมชัยจะพิชิตแผ่นดินทั่วทุกทิศ และประกอบอัศวเมธยัญหลายครั้ง จึงเป็นที่รู้จักนามว่า “ตุรกเมธษาฏ”
This verse describes a king renowned for expertise in the aśvamedha who, after conquering the earth, performs Vedic sacrifices as an act of worship, showing the connection between royal duty and sacrificial devotion.
The verse highlights that the king first appoints Kālaṣeya as priest, indicating that sacrifices are to be conducted under qualified guidance so that the rites are properly executed and spiritually effective.
