वरेणच्छन्दयामास प्रीत: सत्यवतीसुत: । वव्रे हतानां रामोऽपि जीवितं चास्मृतिं वधे ॥ ७ ॥

Transliteration

vareṇa cchandayām āsa prītaḥ satyavatī-sutaḥ vavre hatānāṁ rāmo ’pi jīvitaṁ cāsmṛtiṁ vadhe

Translation

ชามทัคนี บุตรแห่งสัตยวตี พอพระทัยยิ่งนัก จึงกล่าวว่า “จงขอพรตามปรารถนาเถิด” รามะตอบว่า “ขอให้มารดาและพี่น้องที่ข้าพเจ้าฆ่าแล้วฟื้นคืนชีพ และอย่าให้มีความทรงจำว่าถูกข้าพเจ้าฆ่า—นี่คือพรที่ขอ”
