ṛṣir uvāca evaṁ sañcoditau mātrā rāmaḥ kṛṣṇaś ca bhārata sutalaṁ saṁviviśatur yoga-māyām upāśritau
This verse shows that Kṛṣṇa and Balarāma act within the world by taking shelter of Yogamāyā, the Lord’s divine potency that arranges and conceals His pastimes for the sake of līlā.
They went to Sutala because Their mother prompted Them; the narrative context is that Kṛṣṇa fulfills Devakī’s desire connected to events surrounding her children, and the Lord’s līlā leads Them to the subterranean realm.
Like the Lord’s pastimes proceed under Yogamāyā, a devotee can move through duties and challenges by taking shelter of Bhagavān—through prayer, remembrance, and steady sādhana—trusting divine arrangement while acting responsibly.
