The Slaying of Narakāsura (Bhaumāsura), Rescue of the Princesses, and the Pārijāta Episode Begins
दृष्ट्वा सभार्यं गरुडोपरि स्थितं सूर्योपरिष्टात् सतडिद् घनं यथा । कृष्णं स तस्मै व्यसृजच्छतघ्नीं योधाश्च सर्वे युगपच्च विव्यधु: ॥ १५ ॥
dṛṣṭvā sa-bhāryaṁ garuḍopari sthitaṁ sūryopariṣṭāt sa-taḍid ghanaṁ yathā kṛṣṇaṁ sa tasmai vyasṛjac chata-ghnīṁ yodhāś ca sarve yugapac ca vivyadhuḥ
พระกฤษณะและพระชายาประทับบนพญาครุฑ ดูราวกับเมฆที่มีสายฟ้าฟาดอยู่เหนือ ด้วงอาทิตย์ เมื่อเห็นพระองค์ Bhauma จึงปล่อยอาวุธ Sataghni ใส่พระองค์ ทันใดนั้นทหารทั้งหมดของ Bhauma ก็โจมตีพร้อมกันด้วยอาวุธของตน
This verse describes Kṛṣṇa seated on Garuḍa with His wife, appearing like a lightning-filled cloud above the sun, as the enemy launches a śataghnī weapon and the warriors attack simultaneously.
In the narrative of Canto 10, Kṛṣṇa goes to confront Narakāsura and Satyabhāmā accompanies Him; this verse highlights their presence together on Garuḍa at the moment the enemy begins the assault.
Even when opposition comes from many directions at once, the Bhagavatam portrays the Lord as steady and protective—encouraging devotees to remain composed, faithful, and centered in remembrance of Kṛṣṇa during trials.
