FAQs

This verse shows the Vraja women feeling deep humility—wondering what expiation they could perform for any perceived offense to their beloved Kṛṣṇa, who is naturally affectionate and easily pleased—revealing the intensity and purity of their viraha-bhakti.

The narration states that after the gopīs spoke among themselves, Uddhava completed his morning duties (āhnika) and then proceeded onward, indicating his disciplined conduct even while witnessing their profound devotion.

It teaches sincere self-examination and humility in devotion—rather than blaming others, a devotee looks inward, seeks to please the Lord, and maintains steady sādhana (daily duties) even amid strong emotions.
