Kṛṣṇa Enters Mathurā: City Splendor, Devotees’ Reception, and the Washerman’s Fate

अश्न‍न्त्य एकास्तदपास्य सोत्सवा अभ्यज्यमाना अकृतोपमज्जना: । स्वपन्त्य उत्थाय निशम्य नि:स्वनं प्रपाययन्त्योऽर्भमपोह्य मातर: ॥ २६ ॥

aśnantya ekās tad apāsya sotsavā abhyajyamānā akṛtopamajjanāḥ svapantya utthāya niśamya niḥsvanaṁ prapāyayantyo ’rbham apohya mātaraḥ

ผู้ที่กำลังกินอาหารก็ละทิ้งเสียด้วยความยินดีแล้วรีบออกไป บางนางออกไปทั้งที่ยังอาบน้ำหรือชโลมน้ำมันไม่เสร็จ ผู้ที่กำลังหลับก็ลุกขึ้นทันทีเมื่อได้ยินเสียงอื้ออึง และมารดาที่กำลังให้นมบุตรก็วางทารกไว้แล้วรีบไป

Hearing the commotion of Krishna’s arrival, their natural love and curiosity surged; overwhelmed by joy, they dropped everything to behold Krishna and Balarama entering Mathura.

It teaches prioritizing remembrance and darśana of the Lord—when spiritual opportunity comes (kīrtana, satsanga, hearing hari-kathā), respond promptly rather than postponing for routine comforts.
