The Future Manus and the Avatāras in Their Manvantaras
vihaṅgamāḥ kāmagamā nirvāṇarucayaḥ surāḥ indraś ca vaidhṛtas teṣām ṛṣayaś cāruṇādayaḥ
This verse names Vaidhṛta as the Indra (ruler of heaven) for that particular manvantara described by Śukadeva Gosvāmī.
They are designated groups of celestial beings and their associates in that manvantara, listed as part of the Bhagavatam’s manvantara descriptions.
It highlights that even exalted beings can cultivate a taste for liberation—encouraging seekers to orient desires toward spiritual freedom rather than temporary gains.
