Sukta 139
यथोदकमपपुषोऽपशुष्यत्यास्यऽम्। एवा नि शुष्य मां कामेनाथो शुष्कास्या चर
yáthodakám apapuṣó ’pa śúṣyaty āsyàm | evā́ ní śuṣya mā́m kāména átho śúṣkāsyā cara
As water dries away from one swollen with dropsy, so in like wise dry up wholly for me with longing; and, dry-mouthed, come thou and obey thy course toward me.
ดุจน้ำที่ค่อย ๆ แห้งเหือดไปจากผู้ป่วยบวมน้ำ ฉันใด ก็ฉันนั้น ด้วยความใคร่ปรารถนา (kāma) จงแห้งเหือดสิ้นเชิงเพื่อเราเถิด; ปากแห้งผากแล้วจงมา และจงดำเนินตามทางของตนมาสู่เรา
