हिमस्य त्वा जरायुणा शाले परि व्ययामसि । शीतह्रदा हि नो भुवोऽग्निष्कृणोतु भेषजम्

IAST Transliteration

himásya tvā jarā́yuṇā śā́le pári vyayāmasi | śītáhr̥dā hí no bhúvo ’gníṣ kr̥ṇotu bheṣajám

English Translation (Griffith/Whitney)

With the caul, within the dwelling, we wind thee round against the cold. Be thou for us, O chill of heart: let Agni make thee medicine.

เพื่อกันความหนาว ภายในเรือน เราพันเจ้าด้วยรก/เยื่อหุ้มทารก (jarāyu) จงเป็นแก่เราเถิด โอ้ความเย็นแห่งหัวใจ; ขอให้อัคนี (Agni) ทำให้เจ้าเป็นยา (bheṣajam)
