Sukta 53
क ईं वेद सुते सचा पिबन्तं कद् वयो दधे । अयं यः पुरो विभिनत्त्योजसा मन्दानः शिप्र्यन्धसः
ká īṃ veda suté sacā píbantaṃ kád váyo dadhe | ayáṃ yáḥ púro vibhínatty ójasā mandānáḥ śípry ándhasaḥ ||
Who, verily, knows him—drinking in company at the Soma pressed—what vital might he hath assumed? This is he who shatters forts by force, exhilarated, O Śipri, with the Soma’s juice.
ใครเล่าจะรู้เขาโดยแท้—ผู้ดื่มร่วมหมู่ ณ โสมะ (Soma) ที่คั้นแล้ว—ว่าเขารับพลังชีวิตเช่นไรไว้? ผู้นี้เองผู้ทำลายป้อมปราการด้วยฤทธิ์เดช; โอ้ ศิปรี (Śipri) เขาเริงร่าเพราะน้ำโสมะ.
