utpāṭya śṛṅgam ekaṃ tu tenaivātāḍayat tataḥ mamāra sahasā daityo mukhāc choṇitam udvaman
Sage Parāśara (narrating to Maitreya)
It dramatizes Vishnu’s role as the restorer of cosmic order—when the world is threatened, the Lord’s avatāra acts decisively to remove the disruptive force and re-establish stability.
By portraying the enemy’s sudden collapse upon the Lord’s blow, Parāśara emphasizes that Vishnu’s power is not merely heroic strength but the irresistible authority of the Supreme who governs life, death, and order.
Vishnu appears as the supreme protector whose avatāra removes adharma; the episode supports Vaishnava theology that the Highest Reality actively sustains and rescues the cosmos.
