सिन्धो॑रिव प्राध्व॒ने शू॑घ॒नासो॒ वात॑प्रमियः पतयन्ति य॒ह्वाः । घृ॒तस्य॒ धारा॑ अरु॒षो न वा॒जी काष्ठा॑ भि॒न्दन्नू॒र्मिभि॒: पिन्व॑मानः

Transliteration

síndhor iva prādhváne śū́ghanāso vā́ta-pramiyáḥ patayanti yahvā́ḥ | ghṛtásya dhā́rā aruṣó ná vājī kā́ṣṭhā bhindánn ū́rmibhiḥ pínvamānaḥ ||

Translation

సింధు ప్రవాహములవలె తమ అగ్రగమన మార్గమున, శీఘ్రాగ్రములై, వాయుప్రేరితమై, ఆ మహాబలవంతులు దూసుకుపోతారు. ఘృతధారలు—అరుణవర్ణ వాజీ (ధావకుడు/పందెం గుర్రము) వలె—సీమలను ఛేదించుచు, తమ ఊర్ములతో పుష్టమై, ముందుకు వేగంగా సాగుతాయి.
