Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Paśupatinātha
It teaches disciplined Shaiva observance (dharana) by placing Rudraksha in prescribed counts and locations, aligning the devotee’s body and intention with devotion to Lord Shiva (Pati) and supporting purity, steadiness, and Shiva-bhakti.
Rudraksha-dharana is an outward aid for Saguna Shiva-upasana: it prepares the devotee for Linga worship by cultivating remembrance of Rudra/Shiva throughout daily activity, making the body itself a support for continuous japa and reverence.
Wear Rudraksha in traditional placements—101 at the neck and additional strands on the arms, near the elbows, and at the wrists—while maintaining Shiva-japa (especially the Panchakshara, “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) and a devotional, pure routine.
