FAQs

It teaches that samsara is a “wheel” rooted in Prakriti and its evolutes, and that liberation (nivṛtti) comes by turning to Shiva, the transcendent Lord (Pati) who is beyond Prakriti and thus capable of granting release.

Though Shiva is beyond Prakriti (nirguṇa/transcendent), devotees approach Him through worshipful praise and concrete forms such as the Shiva-Linga—using saguna-upāsanā as a doorway to realize the Supreme who is beyond all material causality.

The verse points to īḍana/upāsanā—steady worship and praise of Shiva—practically expressed through japa of the Panchakshara (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), Linga-pūjā, and meditation on Shiva as the Lord beyond Prakriti who still governs the cosmic cycle.
