It shows that Shaiva worship can include respectful honoring of other devatās (like Viṣṇu and Indra) within a larger Shiva-centered rite, affirming dharmic harmony while directing the practitioner toward the supreme goal—grace and liberation through Pati (Shiva).
In the ritual sequence, subsidiary devatā worship and kalasha-invocation support purity and order (vidhi) before the main Shaiva focus; such steps prepare the mind for Saguna worship (with form) that culminates in devotion to Shiva as the supreme Lord.
It indicates kalasha worship (madhya-kumbha), with āvāhana (invocation/installation) and pūjā of the invoked deity; as a takeaway, perform focused invocation, offer respectful worship, and keep the mind steady in mantra-bhāva during the rite.
